Lucas Roasting Company is a Virginia-based coffee roastery located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg. We are very blessed to have our roasting facility within eye-sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains and be surrounded by numerous great colleges and universities (James Madison University, Eastern Mennonite University, and Bridgewater College), all while also enjoying the thriving agricultural aspects of this area. After all, we appreciate great agriculture as it is what allows us to bring you these fine coffees from around the world.
At Lucas Roasting Company we are completely committed to roasting the highest quality and freshest gourmet coffee and espresso available. Whether we are roasting an individual’s coffee order or taking care of a high-volume restaurant, our focus remains the same. Each small-batch of roasted coffee is scrutinized before it leaves our facility, and if we’re not satisfied that it’s perfect, we roast it again. We eat, breathe and sleep (well, sometimes) these premium coffees and espressos, and are happy to satisfy coffee fanatics everywhere.
Those of you who have never tasted fresh-roasted, gourmet coffee will be in for a fabulous treat when you receive your coffee or espresso within a day or two of roasting and can truly understand the flavor loss that most other coffee has gone through. Our roasting operation never uses a chain-of-distribution, so there is never a need to “warehouse” your coffee while it stales. We roast it and then we ship it - no middlemen, ever!
