You will need these filters for effective brewing in your Chemex. These Chemex pre-folded circle filters are thicker than traditional store-bought filters. They are made this way to slow the brewing process down and to help you remove the grounds from the brewer after brewing. If you are to try using “supermarket” filters in the Chemex, there is a good chance it might split when removing the filter after brewing has concluded…not so with the Chemex filters. Simply grab the top corners of the square that sticks up during brewing to remove safely.
These boxes of filters come 100 to a box and are a great way to remove your spent coffee grounds straight-away to your compost pile where your plants will thank you for drinking great coffee.
