Lucas Roasting Company is located in Broadway, VA, in the heart of the magnificent Shenandoah Valley.  Loving the views from our facility of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains in all directions, it is easy to understand why we are passionate about great coffee starting in pristine environmental conditions.  On that front, we are also a very education-focused company and intend to raise awareness of resource-poor coffee-growing communities worldwide.   Portions of our company’s profits are given annually to such programs as are listed on our home page.

We are considered a “small-batch” or “micro” roaster in the world of professional coffee roasters as our coffee roasting facility utilizes a 7-kilo Diedrich roaster.  While this may not be as large a roaster as some other coffee roasters use, we delight in the ability to roast for individuals and large wholesale accounts without compromising any quality between the two.   

We offer an incredible selection of the finest gourmet coffees which have been sourced from all over the world.  Some of these are offered as single-origins, such as our Bolivia FTO, meaning they only contain beans from that specific country, while others are offered as gourmet blends, such as our Blue Ridge Breakfast Blend and all of our Espressos.  If you are looking for Fair Trade, Organic, Rainforest Alliance Certified, Water-Processed Decafs — we have them all. 

All coffee is shipped within 1-2 days of roasting, depending on whether your order remains whole bean or is ground.  All ground coffee is allowed to rest 24 hours before grinding for maximum flavor retention.  We also offer multiple shipping services and provide free shipping on all orders totaling $50 or more on residential orders.  We know you will taste an immediate difference if you have not been buying fresh-roasted coffee prior to your order with us.
