A deep, rich blend made by Regina Spices with our Brazil Bobolink coffee which is fabulous on pork, beef, and chicken. It is especially nice on ribs of all sorts! This rub really brings out hidden depths of flavor in the meat. Coffee acts as a natural tenderizer, at the same time it lays in a flavorful “meaty” base for the ancho & guajillo chilies; while the tellicherry peppercorns and cinnamon create some contrast and breadth to the blend.
This rub was made for the grill–(or broiler if you don’t want to brave foul weather).
Let it rest on the meat– the longer the better.

Kick up the flavor on the grill! My initial fear was this “looked” like a hot spicy rub so my first use on pork chops i used it sparingly. Next use on chicken i put it on much heavier and it was wonderful. You can really taste the coffee among the other spices. Not the “burn” i feared. Very good on chicken and pork so next try on beef. Will be reordering.
