This incredible Grade 1 Natural-Process Ethiopia Dumerso is a fantastic testament to what clean, well-processed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee can be. The bright blueberry, raspberry and floral notes abound in this light roast and make a very playful, delicious cup of coffee. Those of you loving Ethiopian coffees and/or light-roast coffees loaded with fruit notes are in for an incredible treat with this one!
This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms around the Dumerso coffee mill in Dumerso, Yirgacheffe. The mill is owned by and operated by Surafel Birhanu and his family. During the harvest, Surafel employs over 400 people for assistance in processing ripe cherries from over 750 local smallholder farmers. Drying is done on raised beds in very thin layers, with drying taking between 4-6 weeks to complete.
